A partnership of Knight-Light Charities, Inc. and the Upper Trinity Regional Water District
Protecting the watershed and providing fresh organic produce to those in need
Our goal is to supply fresh, organically-grown vegetables to the Salvation Army for their use in providing hundreds of nutritious, hot meals on a daily basis in Old Town Lewisville, TX.
The Salvation Army Soup Kitchen in old Town Lewisville provides a hot daily meal Monday through Friday to over 100 people per day. Some of the recipients would not have fresh vegetables if it were not for the Salvation Army.
Many children under the age of 18 live in circumstances where a daily hot meal cannot be provided to them. This need is heightened during the summer when the number of meals served daily by the Salvation Army doubles. This meal may be the only hot and nutritional daily meal that a child receives during the summer months.
Individuals, businesses and organizations can make a tax deductible contribution to RLCOG in care of Knight Light Charities.
